Welcome to my new venture - a CBT course to manage anxiety and deal with stress! I’m now offering one-to-one courses to teach you all the best tools to manage your anxiety and stress. My 8 week course will cover a wide range of evidence-based CBT techniques to enable you to help yourself and manage your anxiety for the long term. It can feel empowering to know that there are things you can do to manage the anxiety you may be experiencing. The course is straightforward, covers evidence-based techniques and aims to help you to understand the patterns of thinking and ways of acting that keep anxiety going. Spoiler alert - much of it has to do with what your tricky brain. This course will give you the tools you need to disrupt automatic negative thinking, and avoid falling into the trap of worrying to no end, perhaps start to approach things you’ve been avoiding, or keep living the life you want to, and let your anxiety know who’s boss.

I firmly believe that, although our problems may be created in the past and (of course influenced by current stress points), whether we continue to suffer unduly or not, depends largely on our patterns of thinking and behaving and crucially how we relate to the conversation we are often repeatedly playing out in our own minds.

The course last eight weeks and each session lasts 45 minutes. Each week you will be taught a new anxiety management tool to practice and record. So this course is for those who really want to commit to managing their anxiety. All techniques are evidence-based and rooted in cognitive behavioural therapy blended with mindfulness based approaches.

I have worked for 7 and a half years as an accredited cognitive behavioural therapist and these are the tools I’ve used with my clients. I hope it’s reasssuring for you to know that I’ve seen many people benefit from all of these approaches. This course is not therapy and is not a substitute for therapy. I’m no longer working as a therapist, as my passion now lies in teaching others to use these techniques to take charge of their emotional wellbeing as it is possible to make great gains just by using these simple tools. Yes, they require practice, but as with anything effort in = results out.

Each of the 8 sessions lasts 45 minutes and will be online with me. Each session we will review the previous week’s practice, learn at least one new method for managing anxiety, then set practice for the next week. I’m here as your teacher and cheerleader to take you through the eight weeks. Each week you will receive a PDF booklet to refresh your mind on what we have covered that week, as well as recordings for some of the techniques.

These courses are aimed at people who find themselves struggling with mild to moderate general anxiety and stress. If you are suffering with depression, panic attacks, OCD or health anxiety, then you may require more specialist psychological support. Whilst this course might help somewhat with symptoms, you may need a more targeted and individualised approach from a CBT therapist. I’m no longer offering this service. For any new physical symptoms or psychological difficulties, I always recommend a visit to a GP to ensure that there is no medical cause for your symptoms.

The 8 week course is available at £500. Please get in touch if you’d like to book or find out more.
